Don’t miss #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover’s beloved novel about risking it all for love—now an Awestruck original series, coming soon to go90.com and the go90 app, available for iOS or Android.

Auburn Reed is determined to rebuild her shattered life and she has no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to become deeply attracted to the studio’s enigmatic artist, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a chance and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is hiding a huge secret. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything Auburn loves most, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it—but can she do it?

With her moving and compelling prose, Hoover “will pull heartstrings in this second-chance love story” (Booklist).

A bit of Owen Gentry's art ♥
Comments:
I confess that I just started reading this book after watching the series trailer. Actually, it wasn't the hole trailer it was more like a sneak peak, and it caught my attention at first because of this beautiful art work.
“Tonight, everyone’s focus is on my art, but my focus is on her. She’s the most interesting piece in this entire room.”
― Colleen Hoover, Confess

Since I've started the book, I imidiately had a connection with the 10 years earlyer Auburn, that girl who was just a teenager, and still, had so much tough things to deal with.

“How can a fifteen-year old girl defend her love when that love is dismissed by everyone? It’s impossible to defend yourself against inexperience and age. And maybe they’re right. Maybe we don’t know love like an adult knows love, but we sure as hell feel it.”

I have to say that Owen got me like, in the first pharagraph (chapter 2). And the hole story makes us wonder how does he already knows her.

“I could tell her how I know her. Make her realize why I have this overwhelming urge to protect her. But some secrets I’ll take to my grave, and this is definitely one of them.”

The book is written from both Auburn's and Owen's points of view, so we can get to know more about the characters and how they are really feeling. Also, at the end of the book we have a flashback where Owen explains everything we were asking ourselves since the begining of the book.

Ps. Here in Brazil we don´t have this book in paperback just e-book so, I had to read it online and the translation didn´t have this last chapter (5 years early - Owen) so, I just freaked out when I read that last phrase, thank God I did a research and found that chapter with all answers and it had so much emotion and I loved it so much.

“She seems a lot like me. A loner, a thinker, an artist with her life. And it appears as though she's afraid I'll alter her canvas if she allows me too close. She doesn't need to worry. The feeling is mutual.”

Owen is perfect and Auburn is so lovely it´s impossible not to fall for them, and wish them can be together. Hope you guys give this book a chance!!
